Raj and his team made our 19-day Nepal journey through the Himalayas to Everest Base Camp an absolute dream come true.

He has endless knowledge to share, cares deeply for the safety and welfare of his clients, and constantly maintains a positive attitude. He always had a plan and worked through any potential obstacles.

During part of our journey, we arrived late in the day during a snow flurry to find our accommodations had been given to another group. Raj was quick to adjust and got us set up at another guesthouse that was just as clean and comfortable.

There truly was no issue that came up that Raj and team could not thoroughly handle. We felt in good hands the entire journey, and are happy to be able to now call Raj and the rest of the team lifelong friends. We can’t wait to return and explore more!

Raj was one of the guides on our trek to Everest Base Camp in 2022. Ours was a large group of 13 trekkers of diverse nationalities and varying needs. Most of us were unused to the altitude and relatively new to trekking in Nepal. Raj displayed limitless patience and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances, including the aero-evacuation of one of our party who had fallen ill.

He speaks excellent English and is very safety-conscious. He personally ensured that our trek was thoroughly enjoyable and truly memorable. We would certainly engage Raj as a guide on any future treks.

I had the pleasure of trekking the Everest Base Camp trail in 2018 with Raj as my guide, and it was an unforgettable experience. Raj was exceptional in taking care of all my needs throughout the trek, ensuring that I was comfortable and well-prepared at every stage.

With Raj as a guide, I also trekked up to the Kongma La pass, and Ama Dablam base camp.

In October 2022, we tried to do the Manaslu trek with Raj as our guide.

It was a great experience, even though we could not cross the pass,  due to lots of snow. The way back was also quite impossible because of landslides 

So we had to get out by helicopter. Raj was an excellent guide during this difficult time and a very kind person, even more, a friend. Thanks Raj!

My 2024 trip to Everest Base Camp was awesome! I have felt safe with Raj as my trekking guide.

He helped me when I needed food advice on occasions when I was sick. He also helped carry my gear when it was heavy and I was exhausted. The views were beautiful. The mountains were close, and we took to to routes with birds, yak and mice.

I highly recommend Raj Tamang as a trekking guide. Without him, I might not have made it! The Himalayan trek in the Langtang Region proved to be much more difficult than I anticipated, with my huge pack. At times he even carried my pack!

But most importantly, he walked beside me and conversed with me to keep my mind off of how hard it was.

He's a good listener and a great encourager, with no judgment. And I made it!
