Langtang
This moderately challenging trek passes through diverse landscapes.
The Langtang region is also relatively close to Kathmandu, making it easily accessible.
The region is home to the Tamang people, an ethnic group with a rich cultural heritage originating in Tibet. Trekkers can experience their unique traditions, visit ancient monasteries, and stay in traditional villages. The Langtang National Park, through which the trek passes, is home to various wildlife, including red pandas, snow leopards, black bears, and more than 250 species of birds.
The highest point is the Kyangjin Ri (4,770m / 15,650 ft), an almost 1,000m/3,200ft climb up from the small village of Kyangjin Gumba.

Highlights
The "Valley of Glaciers": Langtang is often called the "valley of glaciers" due to the numerous glaciers and glacial lakes found within the region.
Holy lakes: The area is dotted with sacred lakes, such as Gosainkunda (often visited as an extension to the main Langtang trek), which hold religious significance for Buddhists and Hindus.
Langtang Lirung (7,227m): This dominating peak is constantly present throughout the trek, offering stunning views from various vantage points.
Ganesh Himal Range: The snow-capped peaks of the Ganesh Himal range also come into view.
Kyanjin Ri: A popular side trip from Kyanjin Gompa, climbing Kyanjin Ri (4,770m / 15.650ft) rewards you with breathtaking panoramic views of the entire Langtang range.

Relatively Short and Accessible: Compared to treks like Everest Base Camp or the Annapurna Circuit, the Langtang trek is shorter and more accessible, making it suitable for trekkers with limited time or experience.
