Everest Base Camp

The Everest Base Camp trek (5,364m/17,598ft) is a challenging but rewarding journey. It takes about 15 days to complete and involves hiking through stunning mountain scenery, passing through Sherpa villages and encountering unique wildlife.

This trek is generally considered suitable for people in good physical condition who are used to hiking in mountainous terrain.
However, the altitude can be challenging, so it's important to acclimatize properly to avoid altitude sickness.

The rewards of the trek include breathtaking views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest, as well as the opportunity to experience the unique culture of the Sherpa people.

Itinerary

Day 1: Drive from Kathmandu to Ramechhap airport

Day 2: Fly to Lukla (2,860m / 9,383ft) and trek to Phakding (2,610m / 8,563ft)

Day 3: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,438m / 11,280ft)

Day 4: Acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar (3,438m / 11,280 t)

Day 5: Trek to Tengboche (3,860m / 12,687ft)

Day 6: Trek to Dingboche (4,410m / 14,470ft)

Day 7: Acclimatization day at Dingboche (4,410m / 14,470ft)

Day 8: Trek to Lobuche (4,940m / 16,208ft)

Day 9: Trek to Gorakshep (5,164m / 16,942ft - Optional hike to Kala Patthar (5,545m / 18,193ft)

Day 10: Trek to EBC (5,364m / 17,599ft) and to Lobuche

Day 11: Trek to Dingboche (4,410m / 14,470ft)

Day 12: Trek to Tengboche (3,860m / 12,687ft)

Day 13: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,438m / 11,280ft)

Day 14: Trek to Lukla (2,860m / 9,383ft)

Day 15: Fly back to Ramechhap airport and drive back to Kathmandu
